First big decision: That schtick is going – just take it as read that every entry could be my last.

Second big decision: I am going to reign in the posting to this blog. If I lived an exciting life full of little adventures, little victories and little defeats, I would probably have stuff to write about – I don’t, so I don’t. Today I was introduced to Brian Eno’s Oblique Strategies. Essentially, it is a set of cards (and now about a million handy apps) that aim to help artists break their creative constipation. I will be employing their advice during this blog entry to see how helpful they are. This may be my last entry…

I spent a good portion of the day listening to Serial. It’s becoming a bit consuming but it has made me realise something really important: I absolutely love research pieces. It shouldn’t come as a surprise to me but it really does.

I need only look at the books and documentaries I love the most: Jon Ronson is such a solid reading experience for me that I barely even consider it reading. That sounds much harsher than it should. Read More

As you may have seen, yesterday’s entry was 60 words long. It may seem like a bit of a weird figure – why not 50 like all the other folks? Well, every entry I write has, by design, contains at least 11 words without anything else happening:
