The final day of a major festival is always a bit weird. It’s tinged with celebration, sadness and a lack of energy. A bit of a mixed bag today. The weather was brilliant, both warm and sunny and then evil and torrential. I learnt something really important – old waterproofs don’t necessarily maintain their integrity! More on that later. Read More

My battery is pretty low so I’ll be brief.

Day 1 has gone really well. The coach ride was sort and smooth. The wait to get in was terrible, it took nearly 4 hours to get in and the queue looked enormous.


Once in we got the tents up, made a couple of new friends and hit the village for some fashion items – more on them tomorrow.

I’m bushed now so I’m going to finish my cider and go to bed.

Just over twelve years ago I started writing my first blog. I remember discussing my impending mid-life crisis (as I turned 30) and how I was looking forward to the newly created Download Festival.
